§ 34.01. COUNTY FUNDS TO BE DISBURSED BY DISBURSING OFFICER.

  • (A) A system allowing the lawful county disbursing officer to pre-pay the following bills prior to a regularly scheduled Commissioners’ meeting shall be adopted:
    (1) Utility bills;
    (2) Bond payments;
    (3) Jail lease payments;
    (4) Gas payments;
    (5) Refunds;
    (6) Juvenile grants;
    (7) Postage;
    (8) Approved lodging expense for county employees for attendance at state-called meetings;
    (9) Payments to election workers; and
    (10) Payments for emergency repairs and repairs reimbursed by insurance;
    (11) Payments to Motorola for radio equipment;
    (12) Payment for recording fees;
    (13) Payment for copier leasing expenses;
    (14) Payment of Community Corrections’ lease expenses;
    (15) Payment for witness fees and witness mileage for the Boone County Prosecutor’s office;
    (16) Drainage ditch assessments;
    (17) Contractual payments for the cost of insurance;
    (18) Payment of conference fees;
    (19) Payment of INDOT invoices for LPA matching funds for federal aid construction projects;
    (20) Payment of credit card invoices as authorized by Ordinance No. 2010-02;
    (21) Time sensitive payments to contractors to qualify for grant reimbursement;
    (22) Pay invoices for installment payments on contracts previously approved by the Commissioners;
    (23) Payments for the acquisition of rights-of-way for road and bridge projects previously approved by the Commissioners;
    (24) Payments for motor vehicle fleet maintenance on vehicles owned by the County to vendors previously approved by the Commissioners; and
    (25) Payments to Boone County employees as part of the normal approved bi-weekly payroll cycle.
    (B) The Commissioners, having jurisdiction over the allowance of the claim, shall review and allow the claim at their next regular or special meeting following the pre-approved payment of the expense.
